According to several sources, we could be closer to 2015 than everyone else thinks. Sure we don't have hovercars or hoverboards or barely even hovercrafts, but the shoes... oh, the shoes... they're (almost) here.
Nike filed a patent for the "powerlace" technology seen on the "Air McFlys" which means if they're not already in stages of development, they're at least putting lots of thought into the concept. This might not be ground breaking news for some of you, but that wouldn't be out of the theme of the movie now, would it? I can definitely say that this was one of the things I was really looking forward to them making when I saw Back to the Future 2 (my favorite out of the trilogy) and the fact that there's so much buzz around them just goes to show how sneakerology spreads its reach through pop culture and even back in time to the future...
we have these (McFly Hyperdunks) to hold us down for now,
but 2015 can't come soon enough...
